Arizona Firefighter who survived was a lookout

The only member of the 20 firefighter's team who survived the blaze was set as a lookout when his 19  friends were killed by the raging wildfire they were called to fight in Arizona on Sunday. That is what Wade Ward, the spokesman for the Prescott fire department said.
19 members of Prescott Fire Department's Granite Mountain Hotshots were killed Sunday when they were trapped by the raging fire. President Obama called them heroes as they were looking after one another as a team in order to survive the blaze that shifted direction too suddnely for them to escape even if they were highly trained professionally for such events and well  equipped
The only surviving member was not identified but anyone can imagine how he must feel, as most of the people here in Arizona, "simply devastated"
