"A fire has destroyed a psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of Moscow and killed 38 people inside, including two nurses, according to emergency officials.
A third nurse managed to save two patients and they were the only three thought to have survived, the state news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing the health ministry.
Police said the fire was caused by a short circuit and broke out at about 2am local time (11pm GMT) in the one-storey hospital, which was referred to by Russia Today as psychiatric hospital number 14 in Ramenskoe, north of Moscow.
The emergency services posted a list of the patients on the internet, indicating they ranged in age from 20 to 76."
